So, I made that other account, though it was probably all in vain. I never get on dA anymore. My camera was stolen and I've been using my boyfriend's camera until I get around to amassing the funds for a new camera. It seems that signing up for an art website and trying to make myself out to be a photographer is a joke now. Everyone and their mother claims to be a photographer. Fuck, anyone who fucking has even a camera phone is a photographer. All the scene bullshit I see now with girls taking pictures of themselves so their tits show and calling that art is a stupid excuse to raise their self esteem and make themselves feel better about how ugly they are, even if they are pretty. And the only digital and traditional art I see on here is anime. It does not take a lot to draw manga/anime style. Just go to fucking Barnes and Noble and pick up one of the 1000 "how to draw manga" books and you'll be a pro just like the rest of the 2 million people who draw anime.
No one knows the people on here, its not a networking site like myspace or facebook, so its not like anyone can actually get popular locally and actually make a headway into an art career. If you're not one of those lucky 30 people on dA that gets over 1000 pageviews, the chances of selling a print is very very slim.


Long story short, this website is a fucking joke. I'm leaving.
